I work in Architecture and often it is frowned upon to moonlight. Side hustle in definition should be something that is not directly in relation to your day job, but rather parallel to it.

In saying that, I moonlight myself, but it is the type of work that the firm I work for don't actually take on (small renovations, minor dwellings, etc.)

The cheating aspect is debatable. I don't think it's cheating if you've achieved your job description, but at the same time I think it's unfair to do it using your day job's premise and resource.

It's a grey area I suppose.
